Nine Commemorative Plaques
December 7, 2020
Nevada Humanities Gallery, Las Vegas, NV
Collaboration with Kristin Hough for the exhibition “New Monuments for a Future Las Vegas.”
This photographic installation documents nine commemorative plaques we affixed to rocks. The plaques commemorate unique facets of living in Las Vegas, as seen through the eyes of recent transplants to the city. They are dedicated to mundane occasions and everyday objects found in our neighborhoods, so they are made to be small and unobtrusive.
